If you want to get amazing adventurous to view of Lake Toba, drive all the way to the top of the hill. How if motorbike ride is the best but cars can also access some of the paths. The sunset from the hill is to die for. There are hot spring on the western side of the lake just across the causeway from Pangururan. The water is really hot.
Kick back and sunbathe by the lake side, swim in the lake's volcanically warmed waters or arrangge an overnight party, boat out on the lake if you can get enough volunteers together. The lakeside is a trully beautiful place to do nothing at all. Traditional Batak dance in Restourant Bagus Bay is shown every Wednesday and Saturday. After the dance, sit back and enjoy the ethnic flok songs permormed by local people.
Samosir Island could be nothing better than the ride out in the open, fresh air, taking the surrounding view and passing and some bulls and some people walking and nothing else.
